Admittedly clubs are notoriously bad at looking after decks, we went to play in Reading and when they got the decks out of the cupboard a tone arm was completely snapped in half, luckly I'd brought a few CDs so could still do the set (they had 9 CDJ 1000s in that venue and only one working turntable...
