i've only just started as well, i think dubstep is running out of samples, heard two of mine in a stenchman tune the other day!

running out of samples??? no chance, your just not looking in the right places, when you watch a film, dont watch it to enjoy it, watch it in sample mode ...

yeh its great to dabble in other genres man keeps you inspired i have to be honest but i'm mainly a dnb producer but make dubstep on the side and houseand its fucking surprising what you can learn from making other genres you wouldnt believe how good dnb ambience and filthy basses (reeses) sound ...

everyone in my small circle of music friends is getting yamaha hs80m reference monitors, i gotta say, i love them, and they are really subby w/out the 80hz cut (not overly boomy, clean and accurate), and have a huge output if you turn them up, i have to keep them on -50db to not piss off my ...

m8 monitors are the best way for quality and for being able to hear every detail within the mix.

i had some m-audio bx8a's but recently upgraded to some dynaudio BM5A's and the diference is MASSIVE (price too sadly) if you do come round to buying some buy a decent pair like KRK rp6's, tannoy ...
