I have the hardest time trying to create an old school hip hop drum sound.. like sorta reverby, loud poppin snare, etc... you know what i mean.. do you think they mostly used drum machines?? to get that more natural sound? and were most real drum grooves ? either as is or thrown into a drum machine?...
