Re: TEA!

It's really hard to recommend Pu'erh as it depends on your palate. I'd try a few ripe Pu'erh cakes first before getting into the raw stuff.. I personally think the best thing to do is to first try some fresh young raw pu-erh, after that some middle aged stuff (7-10 years old), and finally some prop...

It's because I decided to play Decker this week, he only ever gets loads of points when he's on my bench! :6:

Re: TEA!

Can't believe I've never posted in here. Pu-erh tea is sublime, only got into it this year. I tend to get my tea from jingtea.com now though I don't know any other places to buy decent tea. Does anyone have any other recommendations? I see there's a few connoisseurs in here I can learn from :6: Hey...

Re: TEA!

Apparently its also much better if you have a 200 year old Yixing clay teapot........... :6: It doesn't need to be 200 years old, but a well seasoned pot will make all the difference with top notch pu-erh. Last year I had some tea made in an 18th Century yixing by a Malaysian tea master, was incred...

Re: TEA!

Some Tea such as Oolong and Pu'erh requires an intitial washing of the leaves. Pu'erh upto three times. This serves to open up the leaves allowing for a better infusion and in some cases washing off dust or contaminants. The Tea leaves should be covered with boiling water for a few seconds before y...

Re: things that have made you happy today

Moth/Wolf Cub has a repress (or maybe a couple) so it's in stock in a lot of places, I think. Finding that Coki piece is unlikely though! I realise that it has been repressed, however it is sold out pretty much everywhere online now + I didn't manage to bag it first time round so was very happy to ...

Re: things that have made you happy today

So yeah, today I popped my head into my local record shop and found 2 copies of Burial & Four Tet - Moth/Wolf Cub just sat there in the racks! This is the same shop where a couple of weeks ago I also found a copy of Coki - Lucifer/Ruff Lovin. Sometimes it pays to live in the sticks 8)

Could this have been done from a 'vinyl rip' then, a bit like that James Blake - A Milli/Bills bootleg?

Re: Coki - Lucifer / Ruff Lovin [AWD001]

Thanks to everyone that PM'd me expressing interest in this. I got a lot of offers of around the same amount so I've decided to list it on Ebay to see what it goes for, starting at £10! :)

Re: Coki - Lucifer / Ruff Lovin [AWD001]

Yesterday while browsing in Rockaboom Leicester I came across a brand new copy of this sitting amongst a group of random white labels! :h: As I bagged it from SOTU at the time, I have no need for it, and am therefore open to reasonable offers. ;-)

Re: I don't understand coffee

Coffee is amazing, if, it's freshly roasted, freshly ground and brewed properly... Tea is amazing, especially high quality Japanese green tea and Chinese Pu-erh + oolong... totally different from coffee though. If you want something to give you energy but not jitters then drink... http://topleafyerb...
