Can a synth also be used as a midi keyboard?
I quite fancy buying a proper synthesiser but ive only got room in my setup for one keyboard, so if the new synth has a midi connection at the back... is there some way i can get that to plug into usb and allow me to use it as i would a midi keyboard?
If so, what extra stuff will i need?

Re: Thoughts on APC40?
Yeah nice review! I only really wanna sell the launchpad because the apc40 looks like it can do what the launchpad does already as in triggering clips etc. The volume and send a/b stuff isnt really helpful at all because you can only control it through blocks which = wank. Plus the apc looks fit asw...

Re: Novation Lauchpad
Hey i just bought the launchpad and im running live 7, but for some reason when i try to set it up in preferences the launchpad only shows up in the input and output, not the control surface, so therefore its not lighting up or working for me, if anyone has any ideas that would be amazing as i real...

Definitely get a multi core like Core 2 Duo. 64 bit lappys usually have some driver compatibility issues, spose the only real advantage of having 64 bit is being able to have more ram. Windows xp, vista, and 7 limit 32bit computers to 3.5 gig ram, wheras 64bit is unlimited in theory. And DEFINITELY ...
