Re: Secret Ninja Movie Club (aka what have you watched latel

Her (2013) Slept a bit on this one. I liked it but then again I wasn't blown away by it either. Good concept and visually quite stunning! It was a bit melodramatic for my taste though. The Rover (2014) At first I was tempted to say not as good as Animal Kingdom, but then after letting it sink in a b...

Locke

Really great performance by Tom Hardy, the movie needed something special like that of course. I liked it. 7/10.

Re: Dour Festival: July 2014

So short review: Music: For me personally, as predicted, it was the least appealing edition for several years, musical highlights thus weren't that plentiful. I had a good time during several acts though and once again enjoyed the laid back atmosphere. No conflicts, great neighbours this year as wel...

:) I'll also be camping, The usual site D1 I'd figure. Once on site/camping I wouldn't worry shit about drugs. If you're coming in by car, it's the usual lottery, but if you don't look like a bunch of pill munching/weed smoking thugs driving, or don't use a French license plate, chances of actually ...

Monuments men. Everything as shit as everyone's saying it is. One of the biggest big cast making a quick buck movies I've seen for years.

Re: World Cup 2014

I feel bad for my fellow countrymen who thought we were actually going to win. Argentina were shit though, they only had 3 chances themselves. But we were horrible beyond words. No balls, no initiative, felt like they just wanted to go home and enjoy their holiday. If you had asked me beforehand, w...

Re: World Cup 2014

So France were shit as I expected. Also, what kind of Belgian am I to support Germany instead of France? What kind of a question is that. The French gave us shit for centuries, the Germans prevented us from getting butter and chocolate and other commodities for a year or 4... Make the comparison (no...

Re: World Cup 2014

Germany's defence looks rusty. France however, have shown two faces: a good attacking side getting balls in either deep or from the sides (mainly through Valbuena) but also a lackluster side that couldn't really find any options at times.

I favour and hope for the Germans to blast them.

3-1 Germany.

Re: Secret Ninja Movie Club (aka what have you watched latel

Edge Of Tomorrow My second hollywood blockbuster in two weeks time, contrary to Godzilla though, I went into this with no expectations at all so I guess it was going to be hard either way to leave disappointed. It was a no brainer - key plot elements are hanging together by a very thin thread - but ...

Re: Secret Ninja Movie Club (aka what have you watched latel

Finally saw the Godzilla reboot. Though truer to the original in all aspects, I still found it a bitterly disappointing summer blockbuster. The acting by all involved is stale at best, the action scenes are (bar a few exceptions) too dark. The famous scene from the trailer with the Halo drop was als...

Re: Secret Ninja Movie Club (aka what have you watched latel

Finally got round to watching Kill List. Not as good as 'A Field in England' but the movie already showed Wheatly's potential. Yes it's a bit of a mindfuck at first, but I think the movie is simply open to interpretation If you like the occult and conspiracy etc. you can view it plain and simple as ...

Re: Secret Ninja Movie Club (aka what have you watched latel

The Grand Budapest Hotel

Was expecting a bit more from this tbh, still I finished it. Won't be for everyone, pretty good cast. 6,5/10.

Lego The Movie

Better than I expected, still gets a bit overhyped imho : 5,5/10 (but it's certainly for more adult audiences, that was good).
