Re: Pick Up and Go.
how swift is pick up and go? i got tired of the daily grind, so decided to leave uk - currently teaching in korea - in many ways, its hardly earth shattering and im still in a 9-5 grind of sorts, except the jobs low responsbility and money is good to an extent - but its nice to just be out of the uk...

Re: English Ebonics..
it is true that in the uk some people do speak differently from other people.... scouse, geordie, scotish, irish, yardie, brummie, cockney, hampshire... we have many 'phonics... out of interest, is there such thing as caucasiaphonics? and cant we just call it all dialects, regardless of race, area, ...

Re: what to do with loads of money, serious qst to you geniu
we talking 500k yeah? put 450 into a National Saving and Investments account or something like that - pretty secure, enough interest to make it worthwhile, and just semi-forget about it until you need to take a course, do a masters, buy a car, or whatever. The give me the other 50k to set up my busi...

Re: Eminem, Mos Def, Black Thought Freestyle (2009)
I wish Eminem, or hell, all those rappers there, to just do more battle raps over raw beats rather than what they're mostly known for these days. It's easy to forget that Eminem's actually a very legit MC. indeed. Eminem's one of my favourite rappers, i cant stand the style of his new stuff but som...

not sure if this has been posted before, its quite old...
looks a real staged, so not sure how 'freestyled' it is, but still, it always cool to see three dope rappers rapping...

Re: RIP BBC World Service
the BBC News page now has advertising on it when you view it from abroad. the other day they had one on the main news homescreen from Chevron - given the number of hits the BBC News site gets everyday form all around the world, they must be getting a far bit of money from those adverts. this is from...

Not a huge fan of Funktion One but Tony explains the whole MP3 thing ;) Watch from 06:20 onwards http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9mfwYhBIrg Let me know what you think he comes across as bit of a prune tbh. the dj orientated clubs and bars that use funktion 1 are usually dance music focussed... 320s...

Re: K Koke signed by Jay-z
i dont get the current fascination with poor rhymers rappers about nowt in particular... the whole grime thing of spitting a line quickly and emphasising the last word, split second pause, then spit another line quickly emphasisng the last word (which does or doesn't need to rhyme with the previousl...

Re: facebook can be actually good!
this is very impressive. the effort shows love and a resepct for your music and will have caught mala's eye, and whoever else you hand them too. One promo done with care is better than 500 mp3s emailed. equally, part of me thinks your nuts to spend £180 just to get a promo into a djs hands. but, if ...

not sure if this ahs been answered, couldnt be bothered reading the other pages but... never really got Loefah though. I would hazard a safe bet on Loefah meaning a Loafer - as in, some one who loafs - lazy, coach potato, trogladyte. loaf about, etc. either that, or he ahs a particular fondness for ...

Ey up,
In need of some new blogs to burn my eyes on - used to be quite up on which ones were good etc but most have stopped or dropped off of late... So, yeah - any decent music/culture blogs out there you'd recommend?
Safe!
