Re: Anyone here actually made a whole track in Soundforge?

What he said^^^^

never a whole tune, can bang out stuff like the track "UK" on it though, its got no beats...

its all about the samples you use though, but getting 3-5 mins of beats working with no "real grid" is beyond me

Re: When does a track become "too simple"

I meant the parts in the tracks being "pretty shitty and pointless" i.e. someone's massive overused sample for a rise effect.. (SEE TRAP MUSIC) or a stupid out there breakdown that in no way ties to the track, being immemorable and pretty pointless I referenced ambient music as that is wha...

Re: When does a track become "too simple"

you've highjacked a serious thread, i've probably given you more feedback on your tune than you'd get if you asked for it on here, and the reason you link to your stuff is because you obviously want feedback... how hard would it be to answer "When does a track become "too simple" &quo...

Re: When does a track become "too simple"

are you sure the synth presets you used or whatever aren't presets of chords with say 1 oscillator 7 semitones lower than the next oscillator ??? i was referring to the disjointed sounds either way.. music's about having fun man, thats while we all do it I only posted that as you had time to post so...

Re: When does a track become "too simple"

yea i listened, change ya snare man, unless thats what you want.. chords seem distant, ill connected and pretty pointless, they are eery though so i'll give you that.. bassline no real direction, i couldn't hum along to it so its dead in the water tbh seems like you just got happy you could kinda mak...

Re: Trying to re-create classic synth sound

what synth your using would help....

get a decent chord sample, drive it hard in to a lowpass filter, sweep along the filter to the find the tone you want, vary drive....

also the chords/keys you plays matters quite a lot, many synths have house organ bass presets though so have a look

Re: wondering what this organ is...

the image took ages to load for me so i ended up clicking your track as i thought it would be in there... Variate your drums, more hihats to give it the feel of a proper transition when your going into the next 8 bars etc i'm taking it you wanted feedback as thats the reason you posted the track... ...

Favourite labels?

What everyone's favourite labels atm pushing proper house music, i mean deep/tech house, i find the lines very blurred atm in terms of release marketing as much of it isn't deep house at all..

When does a track become "too simple"

Only real problem i have with my music is that it's so simply put together, but then when i compare it to others i just think what most other people is doing is pretty shit and pointless.. i produce dance music i.e. stuff you dance to.. i don't include dubstep in this as you can't dance to it, also ...
