Re: Timbaland: I Created Dubstep

is it just me or do all the americans like him and all the brits hate him? a lot of these tracks that are being put up are not what i'd call hip hop either! There's loads of British people in this thread giving Timbo the props he deserves. Including Plastician on page 2. Of course Timbo didn't &quo...

Re: Too much Dubstep?

I have the same problem with masturbation to be honest, none of my friends seem to be into it as much as I am, when I'm doing anything else all I can think about is the next tug, it's ruining my social life but I love it so much.

Re: So you don't like grime?

I think grime is going through a bit of a teenage thing at the moment, it's having to change and you could argue it was never really a genre in the traditional sense any way, more an attempt to describe the music being made by a certain group of people at a certain time, mainly in, but not exclusive...

Re: the latest foriegn beggars album isn't that good

I think there's a certain amount of validity to the negative and positive points in this thread, I really admire the FB's grind, and I get on with them all, plus they have played some really good live shows and promoted other people who have gone on to have careers seperate from the crew like Schlom...

Re: UK Hip Hop

sway quote] you're joking right? This is my Promo is ok though, went down hill after that teaming up with akon and shit :t: The stuff he did with Amon Tobin on the 2 Fingers project was really good though and came out this year I think. I just think the crossover stuff he tries is usually a bit mis...

Re: So Rihannas new tune is a dubstep tune

Last time I went to FWD I was "brainwashed" by the repetitive nature of the music to hand over some cash at the door and buy at least 4 bottles of Guinness, now I know that I'm just a pawn in their evil schemes to get me to part with cash and dance and have a good time I will just stick to...

Re: So Rihannas new tune is a dubstep tune

Don't expect to impress people who know a lot about music by dropping Timbaland as one of your favorite producers. God forbid not impressing people who know a lot about music, I didn't realise it wouldn't impress those godlike beings who know sooooooooooooooo much about music, next time someone ask...

Re: So Rihannas new tune is a dubstep tune

Timbalands stuff from the late 90's to the early 00's is some of the boldest, most sonically interesting pop/hip-hop/r&b out there and was a big influence on a lot of the early grime/grimey garage productions which in turn were hugely influential on the development of dubstep. Ask Dizzee or Oxid...

Nowadays there is less of a seperation, I think most teenagers today would group Dizzee, Chipmunk, Roots Manuva, Tynchy, Giggs, Sway and The Streets as the same kind of music. there's only roots manuva with a hiphop backrgound of that list. and he's done a few tracks like buff nuff to crossover, i ...

London used to have a decent live scene but that kind of dried up. I've got a feeling the same thing happened in other cities. A lot of the top boys from the 90's just stopped doing stuff, understandably in most cases, due to a lack of money or problems with labels, people like Rodney P still get a ...
