The internet is nowadays the ONLY reliable source of information , no matter how daft this sounds. It is reliable because EVERYBODY has almost full access to everything. That means that you can cross-examine any opinion-idea with different-opposite opinions-ideas and make up your own mind on what ...

I wonder why people describe the effects of this shit as a "trip". That

word implies some sort of kinda coherent hallucinating or at the very

least a hallucination that appears coherent to yourself during the "trip"

but is complete nonsense afterwards.

Salvia's "high" is not any of the above ...

I have the Waves bundle and I use the S1-Imager to get more stereo width out of a track. I am sure there are free plugins that do the same but i haven't needed one yet so I cant help.

BONUS, unrelated question: Can I control what application has possession of the sound card manually without said ...

Well they (Prosoniq) did it to themselves. If you check their site their motto is "Reverse Engineer Your Music". And I am pretty sure there are pirated plugins for the Mac as well. Less people to D/L them I s'pose. And maybe with more money to spend. F*** prosoniq. Their stuff was crap anyway ...

But sidechaining all this shit to all everything else to shoehorn another element that doesn't NATURALLY ...

Try pianoteq. It's a great idea in that it doesn't use multisamples but a modelling synthesis engine and it sounds absolutely fantastic without eating up half your cpu or hd. It's quite expensive tho (at 250 euros).
Check it out at http://www.pianoteq.com/

Highpass and maybe some mid-hi eq. Compress if needed. Add reverb.
For a more creative groove i use a shortish quantized delay (most times dotted eighths) with ping pong enabled. Autopan is good sometimes for movement. I don't usually use modulation fx (phasers etc) as most of the time the hats are ...

If you haven't already invest some money on room treatment.

This is a very good package for smaller rooms.

Had some experience with the Focusrite (Novation's "mother" company) service department and although the service was excellent the price was quite steep . Parts are definitely cheaper for Novation gear compared to the ones for Focusrite gear tho. Good luck anyways.
