Dubstep is a pain in Ableton (compared to other genres) There is an app called mixed in key:

I'm gonna have to disagree with the Motu being so wonderful. Firewire is glitchy business (unless you only have one firewire piece of equipment hooked up) I reccamend a pci interface. Honesty, your audio interface is such an important piece of gear that I would save up a tad more. I have been using ...

Just like Neurotik said. Download demos and try them all. What may work for one producers process may not for another and so on. I find that each shines in different areas and if you don't want to use multiple daws via re-wire technology then the only thing to do is learn each one.

Don't look at ...

Yah, I scoped out the demo and now I really want em. The ability to change grooves on the delay is nasty. Gonna have to get us some sugar mamas :)

I like to make multiple copies of my tracks with different names as I start to flatten. I sometimes work with other producers who are anti bouncing down as they say the more renders the more digital artifacts...ever since 7 I honestly haven't been able to tell the difference so I freeze and flatten ...

DONT FORGET THEY UPPED THE ANTY ON THE RENDERING ENGINE TO A HIGHER RESOLUTION!!!! A MONSTER UPGRADE! FINALLY ABLETON WILL HANG WITH THE BIG DAWGS AND I CAN STOP REWIRING NUENDO! 7 does sound great but if you listen closely there is a small amount of noise that has to be addressed in mastering... 8 ...

Im pretty sure that Cubase didn't adopt the Nuendo rendering engine until version 4. That's the most important thing in my opinion. Nuendo 4 has added some more complex routing capability which is really cool but if your planning on purchasing one I don't see the need for a musician to spend 2 g's ...
