It depends. But i like to put all sounds and bits on seperate tracks. So i usually end up with 20+ tracks. My latest one is 32 tracks

Nothing works just by plonking it in, if you used all presets with no tweaking or effects on any channels it would sound terrible.

Yeah, for me too. Producer first LIVE producer second. I think a good producer can be a good dj too. Why? Because they both need rythm to do a good job. Ones you got that down it all comes down to technique.. Lucky for me i learn technical things REALLY quick

I had my ears cleaned by the doc to... Seems like i can go back now though.. Everything sounds muffled again. My BIGGEST fear of everything is going def someday.. It won't happen since i have good hearing, but that would totally fuck up my life!!
