Laptop Djing with external soundcard, mixer and monitors.
Hello, im slightly confused. I've got a DJ IO soundcard a DJM mixer, krk monitors, and a laptop, Im a bit confused about how to set up the wiring. Right, im going to assume the LR outputs of the two mixer channels go to the soundcard ins and outs, but then im not sure where the monitors come into pl...

Numark DJ IO
Having a small problem with this and wondered if anyone can help, the standard volume is ridiculously loud, almost popping my monitors of first boot up, I've had to turn them down to -20db and the volume is still pretty loud. Unlike other units it dosnt seem to have a windows volume fader like every...

Re: Basics for laptop DJing?
Is there any quality difference in using the board + soundcard, compared to the all in one?
The omni sounds like a nice approach.

Basics for laptop DJing?
Basically I want to start learning to DJ, but cant shell out the amounts needed for vinyl or cdj's. I figured as I have a laptop, Id try just working on the craft that way. What im looking for is a basic but professional standard (and preferably cheap) laptop dj setup. I know you dont necessarily ne...

Do you sync up and draw everything perfectly?
Basically I thought I'd make my next tune with zero drawn in automation or quantizing perfectly, just simply recording what comes off the controller, lfo changes, pitch changes etc etc. Mainly because everything of my own I listen to sounds really robotic. Does anyone else do this, and do you find y...

FL: Live midi automation?
Err, so I've run into a problem recently, I know in ableton and logic as you record with a midi controller, the automation draws in realtime but with FL it also draws to the events, is there anyway to record automation as a clip and not into events?

Howdy, another in progress twisted from an earlier project in the persuit of more tasty basslines. (Don't judge the structure, just trying to get ideas down).

Re: Super noob, would love some sagedom!
You have alot of freedom when producing dubstep, from a chord perspective I havn't found it to different from anything else. Depending on your style and what your aiming to produce, alot of dubstep is minor heavy, gives it the darker feel however you could easily rip a chord sequence from a trance s...
