Basically, are the strings sampled from somewhere or did you compose them yourself with some sort of VST? Also, what did you use to ...

I like Massive, you can make pretty much any sound you want with it but like most synthesizers, you have to really learn how to use it before you can really appreciate it's capabilities. Massive is more than just a synth for making a wobble which you found out how to do on YouTube

If you don't have any other soundcards hooked up to your laptop then Audacity will automatically hook up to your built in soundcard inside your laptop. When you play a film in Windows Media for example, just press record in Audacity and it will record anything that is playing out of Windows Media ...

It takes considerably MORE juice to push a loud, distorted piece than it does a normal, dynamic piece. The "loudness war" taxes every piece in the chain in a negative way. It's bad for speakers, amplifiers, ears, etc...

I agree completely. I wish there was more ambient Dubstep out there but I like Scuba and Synkro very much. But maybe they wouldn't even be classed as 'ambient Dubstep'? Who knows...
