Using Traktor and control vinyl with Focusrite Saffire LE

Hi guys, I've searched the forum for an answer to this, but I'm only on my phone so apologies if I've missed a topic. I own Traktor, and (sadly) am having to sell off all of my vinyl. I'm wondering if I can buy NI's control vinyl and cables and use my Focusrite Saffire LE to link it to the computer,...

Making dials

I've made the switch from Live to Reaper, and I'm using Poise now instead of the drum rack. The GUI of Poise is, in my opinion, nasty; so I've made my own. I'd like to be able to use the style of dials from Reaktor, or at least create something similar, but have no idea how to go about this. I've se...

Youtube recorder

Sorry, I've been googling away but can't find it - What's that site where you paste the youtube address and it records the video to mp3 for you?
Thanks guys

Re: I don't usually ask things like this...

It's definitley a hi-hat struck closed, opened then closed again (as other peeps have said). If you can't find a sample you might get the same sound by cutting a tiny closed hi-hat hit so it had basically no decay, duplicating it and between the two putting the middle bit of an open hi-hat sample wi...

It has loads of pre-made synths (and the rest) that sound just as fantastic and are just as inspirational as other VST's. Plus they occasionally sell it for 99 euros. Just do it.

Re: Basic dubstep set up?

Sounds good chap, the NI Audio Kontrol has fantastic D/A converters and good pre-amps, or if you want something cheap and fast on a mac go for the Behringer FCA-202, it'll run your monitors but you'll need a little mixing desk to record stuff into it, which I prefer anyway. I had problems setting up...

Re: Fourtet's secrets

Ah that's it, Audiomulch. He uses Cooledit Pro too. I tried both but didn't get on with them, so I'm trying to work out a good method to do something similar to what he does using Ableton and Reaktor 5, hopefully something that lets a lot of chance into the equation, and isn't too sterile. I can alw...

Fourtet's secrets

Something I've been wondering for a while is how Fourtet goes about making his clicky, jumpy melodies, what kind of samples he uses etc. A good example of what I mean is the start of one of his tracks with Burial, and especially his song 'Spirit Fingers' (I'm typing this on my phone so can't link to...

Re: Samples or vst for drums

Battery 3 comes with something like 30,000 drum samples, most of which are excellent. And you get a drum sampler too, so maybe give that a go!

A little off-topic, but I walked home across BaAth in the early hours of this morning listening to your All City Showcase mix Om Unit, and it was fantastic.
