Re: Stranger Song new EP, 2step/techno/dubstep

Thanks! They're definitely cool if you're into garage, lots of send offs to that style. Not too reliant on it though.

Finished this a bit back. A bunch of tracks that are mostly floating between garage, dub techno and dubstep. Hope you enjoy.

StrangerSong / wot you call it / techno? / garage? / 320s

Finally found some more motivation to work on new music, this is what came about. Been listening to a lot of techno lately, not really minimal, the fuller and detroit kind. Think some of it shows through, so hope you guys like these slower (130bpm) crossover tunes, can't really categorize them. They...

Re: brostep

It's all dubstep. I hate the way everyone puts a label on a track if it's not the norm. From memory, dubstep is an experimental type of music. Shouldn't that entail the artists to experiment with what ever they want? Whether it's hard, deep, party... It's all dubstep. Stop being haters. its that si...

It's a great track, but I'm pretty sure the real killer tracks are being saved for the next album. I can't wait for a full version of Lambeth.

Serato/Traktor isn't that much, esp if you already have the most expensive part: tables + mixer & a comp.

I dunno, a lot of these just skirt on the edge of quantized burial, with a better mixdown.

edit: Ok just re-listened to Get Down, even using the same gun sample noises as burial? really?

He's still an utter tnuc of a person though. Easy Mary. Let's have one thread on Zomby without this type of thing please, it's quite unnecessary. When they can mention that though, they feel more like they're connected to the scene. Hey Zomby's great guys, but I KNOW what lurks behind the music. . ...

Honestly, Hyph Mngo will be at the top of any big list whether you like the track, or not. It's innovative (within dubstep's bounds) and catchy, can't lose with that combo.
