Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *

@DJ Sampletank: still kind of dark and ambient but with a hardcore edge, kind of cool, but not really my thing tbh, I like your other stuff more.I suggest making your drums a bit harder, maybe faster too if that's the direction you want to take it. @Stinjee: Sounding good mate, not too sure about th...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *

Im not very good at feedback but here goes- @atticuh, Sounding pretty good man, mad drums really interesting, I really like the bit at teh end,, I do feel as though its lacking a bit of bass weight though dude, where is your sub sitting? I would try a little boost around 45-50hz or layering with a l...

Re: attn: bassnectar, skrillex, and glitch mob fans.

I do hate the fact that quite often now when you try to talk to someone about dubstep who isnt into the scene, they mostly (for good or bad) think of Hype/Rave dubstep straight away :(
Im not into stuff like borgore and skrillex but y'know, each to their own I guess. I just cant see the dub in it.

Re: [FEEDBACK] Cingulate WIP (Deep, minimal, rolling)

It's got a nice vibe. The instruments work well together and also sound well mixed to me. It's very repetetive at the moment though, especially wrt the melody. You need to add a lot of variation (even if it's subtle) for the track to be interesting to listen to for 4 minutes. Thanks man, always hav...

Re: Mike Huber - 28 Days Later dubstep (WIP)

I like it man, nice work, love how you have everything coming in slowly, really capture the mood of the original piece. I think the snare could use a bit more oomph and maybe mess with the hats some more (perhaps an off beat stab would work). A bit of variation in the drums wouldnt go a miss and Im ...

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for JANUARY, 2011

hehe was too late for me to post feedback last night ;) @NICORISONE: Feeling this one mate, nice and deep, love the ocean pad, everything's sitting perfectly together, good work. @alexvont12: great atmos in the intro, some serious low end, not too sure about the lead when it drops, its cool but seem...

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for JANUARY, 2011

ibscotty: Some parts of the bassline aren't really working well with the music. Also that fat low snare isn't really going well imo. s Thanks for the feedback yeah that was a rough version, here is the latest, please download to enjoy it properly, as soundcloud compression gives a high pitched whin...

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for JANUARY, 2011

Accidentally posted in december thread... @alexvont12: I like the idea, it makes me think of an alien invasion, perhaps add some more effects and sirens to compliment the main ones and maybe some 50's sci-fi movie samples ;) @nnny: (WIP-3) Nice and floaty this one, the first synth is a little too hi...

Re: New Track - Dark, Deep [untitled] 320s avail..

huh, I just noticed this suffers from soundcloud making a really high pitched "tinny" sound behind the sub bass too, is it like that with all bass heavy tracks? I have only noticed since I uploaded my last track in my sig, its pretty annoying as the original file is perfectly clear.

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for DECEMBER, 2010

So after hearing the feedback from here I have taken your advice and done a lot of work on the high hats and drums and also built myself a bit of an intro. http://soundcloud.com/ibscotty/process-wip love to know what you lot think now? I feel the drums give it an almost Mountain Dread March feel but...

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for DECEMBER, 2010

@ FluidMoShun: yeah I know what you mean, the hats really need re-working, I'm terrible with them, have to do a bit of reading/research or bully someone else in to writing them for me :) @ Bledbox: Thanks man, it took a lot of layering and a lot of tweaking / filtering to get the bass just how I wan...
