the white shadow is automation if you right click on the record button does it say it is recording automation if so then what happens was you tweaked a parameter while you had the record function in use hope that helps if not give me some more details and i will try and help

then stack it on top of the pattern that it is automating

i once time stretched a burp then resampled the shit out of it and sprinkled it with effects came out pretty goo

if you right click on any mixer track go to the create submix
to master it will uncheck all of them to the master i usually start with my drums build my drum bus then create a bass buss in the same method so that i only have to un check the drum buss from the bass buss but im just lazy
