Re: How much $ are the "big" guys making
Bugger haha. I only started making dubstep because my psytrance live sets weren't paying as much as I wanted (i.e enough to live off). I thought it must be a bit more lucrative as there are so many more people who like it, far more commercial, more events etc. There must be a fair few producers who ...

Re: LouisG! - Dualities (Deep/Minimal, dark, tribal vibes)
Sounds atmospheric but tight, only thing I would perhaps consider doing is putting the reverb on the kick as a return channel, and applying a hi pass filter somewhere around 300hz on the return reverb. This will mean that just the top end of the kick will be affected and it will remove some of the m...

I'm a dnbhead myself so the lay out of dubstep still confused me. lol My 2 DnB tunes at the top of my player...

Oh- and I don't just use it for wobbly bass. Its also great for just about any other type of sound you can mention (if used properly). I love it for making really bizzare sound fx for my psytrance tunes. I find it can be a bit TOO fat sometimes though and has to be heavily Equed and filtered to leav...

I usually stick to NI Massive for my basslines because of the LFO routing options (esp the performance mode). Don't use presets if I can help it these days because if you use presets you run the risk of sounding the same as everyone else who has used that preset. Sometimes tweaking a good preset is ...

New to dubstep :)
Ey up! I am new to doing this, this is my first proper crack at making some dubstep. I normally produce psytrance so its a bit of a learning curve. Would really appreciate any feedback on this tune, both production-wise and stuff that could be improved about the actual tune. http://www.sendspace.com...
