I clicked yes because I thought the poll was about math, not meth. My vote still stands.

Get a copy of Golden Ears and don't do another mixdown until you can get 10/10 on the basic tests.

Vinyl only. I never got the hang of mixing off CDJs and I can't be fucked to digitize my collection.

Full Level just means the pads will always output midi at 127 (full midi velocity), but their sensitivity to touch is not controlled by this.

Sorry, don't use Logic. I use Ableton Live and the mpd primarily for controlling Battery 3.

click the "global" button, then use ">" button to navigate over 4 slots to "Pad Sens" menu. Adjust to taste, then click "Preset" to exit the menu. I keep mine at 10.

yes it's double triggering, you can adjust the sensitivity of the pads and find the right setting for your style.

This is good lecture. Like everything Steve says, you need to take it with a grain of salt. That said, I think it's important for any creative person to hear opinions with which they may not agree. That's why I always listen when Albini is talking.

It's a magical island, like the one on Lost, except less insipid and melodramatic.
