essential speed garage tunes?

Greetings. I just picked up a speed garage compilation and I'm digging a few of the tunes on it. However, I know nothing about speed garage. Is it just garage? Definitely digging the basslines on: R.I.P. - The Chant (WE R) Underground Distortion - Everythin' is Large (Andy Mowat's Mix) Any other sug...

Vinyl compilations/albums (bass-heavy)

Greetings. Been lurking around for a bit, haven't posted much in the last few months. I've been getting into DJing vinyl at my house. I'm looking for some compilations/albums that are decent. Anything bass heavy from the likes of Zomby, Mala, Gantz, Vex'd, Distance, old Skream, Wen, Commodo, Silkie,...

wish the horns had more of a melody. sounds like a bunch of random notes at times. great potential here though.

:8: piano needs some reverb or something, sounds too much like a preset. otherwise nice!

not a big fan of the vocal, but everything else is mint. Snare could be punchier. I followed you on the cloud, excited to hear more.

maybe drop the vocals out for a bit as it gets repetitive. otherwise nice work.

Re: High Bodies - CLASH (140 TRVP/Massive Bass)

I like the part from 55 seconds to 1:22. I get lost in the rest of it. Layer some other sound with the snare, it sounds like a preset and gets lost in the mix.

Overall try some variation with the drums, that's the most boring part and could easily be fixed.

only one thread per tune mate. You would save some time if you post your tune like this:

are you trolling? Not sure what you meant by ambient dubstep, but Kryptic Minds is a good opposite of brostep:

Re: LXTC - Latitude (Chill/Filth)

ahh yes the chill/filth paradox. I would remove the 'take this out' sample which I think is a preset from fruity loops. the hi-hat sounds like a preset too. maybe layer a few other hi-hat sounds with it. Maybe relax with the wobbles in parts. good start though.

Re: a deep grimy one

the growls kind of drown out everything. love the snare and hihat though.. would love to hear more hihat to really drive the tune forward. Really great overall.

I'm more of a Dhalsim guy, I followed you nonetheless. interested to hear more grimey tunes.
