It Took The Night To Believe is my fave from Sunn O))). But I think the hat is probably just the amplifier brand? Haha I need a new hat as well. I hate huge ads/logos though. Grey and dark blue beanie for me, and I'm a fan of flat caps. Think we discussed this before though, people said it looks too...

Re: What game are you playing?
I have my doubts GTA5 will be on PC either... they are debating it, so that means at the least it will be like a year or more after it's out on console. GTA4 was like a year after console as most of their money is made in the console market. Mods keep games alive for years, but piracy is rampant on ...

Never knew he rapped... So this DJ Nate: Is the same DJ Nate that did this?: Yeah he's always made a lot of different kinds of music, he has about 4 or 5 aliases. Footwork was just one of the things he was most known for even though he wasn't really even in the Chicago footwork scene himself. Most ...

Re: anyone used audacity to make a mixtape?
You can paste track after track into Audacity as multitracks, and kind of 'mix' them so it sounds like they fade into each other, but not proper beatmatching and blending.
Check out this software, it's free and excellent: http://www.mixxx.org/

Oh also for a strange sci-fi I really recommend Cube. I'm sure some people have seen it, but it constantly blows me away! The Cube made in 1968 by Jim Henson (yes, that Jim Henson) The original was a bit different and black & white, can't find it though. Google video deleted it. http://www.yout...

That's a classic jungle and dnb method used in old Akai samplers
Like looping a cycle or 2 of the tail of an 808 kick for that specific kinda bass (808's just a sine/env)

Just wait until some kid gets a PS4 for his birthday and has a weekend alone with a bag of skunk and the newly released Music 4000 game.

Re: Tracks sound distant
The drums are too buried under all those digital whirring synth sounds. Why are you normalizing and then compressing? It just sounds like you need to work on your mixes and learn more about EQ. Those synth sounds are just too loud and are taking up all the frequencies making it unpleasant to listen ...

Re: Web-Connected Synths Render Your Patterns For Free
Thanks for this project Hector, it's really interesting. Also of course you would have more visitors if WAVs were an option, but if bandwidth is an issue then perhaps even FLAC would suffice, or serve an MP3 initially with the option to download something like FLAC/WAV somehow. You should definitely...

They are way cheaper second hand. You pay extra for the cool look and the reputable name, and what will hopefully be transparent audio. Here's a copy/paste of some recommendations I gave someone else recently who was looking for a way to control more than 1 pair of monitors (btw he said the Samson w...

It troubles me greatly to witness the world straying farther and farther away from its natural origins. Humanity has become immersed in the technological while losing touch with the sources that have provided the means for these “advances” from the start. It is simultaneously ironic, sad, and frust...

Yeah I meant in native English speaking countries too, but I specifically meant the US where the foreign language situation is taken pretty lightly.Reese Liar wrote:^ I'm pretty sure it is, in almost every country except the native English speaking countries.
Or did you mean besides English?

Re: Why is Music from Non-English Artists Always in English?
Well English is an official language of the EU along with most but not all of the countries' native languages and it's required learning in most of the EU. Most producers are young so they would have learned it early in school, so the younger generations are more fluent in English than the generatio...
