The Artist Formerly Known as Honey - BITCHISBACK
https://soundcloud.com/honeyd/bitchisback Instrumental I plan on converting into full blown hip hopera (aka a few 16s). It's a little different than my usual since I generally don't use breakbeats that much anymore but I think it sounds pretty nice. I gotta work on getting the levels right if anyon...

Scum&Villainy - Dioxis ((Left Field Hip Hop))
Hey guys, my friend and I have recently gotten into recording vocals after having freestyled for many moons without recording anything. Does anyone have any tips for getting the vocals to mesh a little better? I'd had compression suggested to me as "rap vocals can take a lot of compression"...

Re: Chris S - Mrs Jones (Chilled,Deep)
Smooth, I like the vocal samples a lot and I agree this song would lend nicely to an mc. I think maybe the snare should be a little more forward in the mix, maybe play around with the eq a little or just turn the level up a little?

Re: Real Life Mixtape pt.1- Deejay Chaotic (Dub,DnB,Turntabl
Though I can respect the idea of really fast cuts (especially in styles that call for it) I think it does sort of take a lot away from dubstep and "dumb it down" a lot by making each song easily represented by a small clippette of a few wobs from each. Have you tried the opposite of this s...

Re: Words for drunk/High
High: Stoned, Blazed, Blunted, Baked, Gone, Faded
Drunk: Shitfaced, Blitzed, Schmammered, Fucked Up, Trashed
Both: Crossfaded, crunk (occassionally)
There's a lot more terms but those are the ones I actually hear regularly round these parts.

Re: First gig, what to think about?
on the topic of drinking/doing various other things while playing, i know everyone here says don't have too many but lately i've been noticing I am WAY better in the 5-10 drink range than the 0-4 (and no, it's not cause i'm too drunk to notice myself fucking up lol) i know everyone's different but ...

Re: Game of Thrones (HBO) SPOILER ALERT!!!!
I'm rereading A Clash of Kings right now. After reading through all the books... god damn. If you thought the first 'season' was crazy just wait. People often refer to George R.R. Martin as being the American Tolkein and I only have one problem with that: I enjoyed A Song of Ice and Fire more than L...

Re: What do you love about Dubstep?
And people, let's not make this a "I hate dubstep now" thread. Lets just talk about what we love in the genre. Not "the past" or "it's shitty now." to be fair, and i'm totally new to the scene but its history is what intrigues me the most and my favorite tunes are old ...

Re: Downlink and Excision - 2005 (NOT BROSTEP?! WTF?!)
People talk about brostep bandwagoning but fuck none of you guys came up with dubstep all by yourself. You prolly heard Midnight Request Line, Night, Swagga, or some other mainstream song as your first intro into the music and then went on further to buy and (assumedly) try to make dubstep. Doesn't ...

I think the tear-out part is pretty lame but the pop part is catchy as fuck. Does anyone remember 90s breakbeat hardcore? And people are complaining about cheese

Ron Paul is anarchist. An anarcho-capitalist to be exact. He's for a fully privated.. well, EVERYTHING and against any form of government or borders whatsoever. Once you understand that, you'll start to see where he's coming from. . http://www.notquitewrong.com/rosscottinc/comics/2010/12/OCP_logo.j...

Lyons, I'm sorry to be the one to break it to you, but damn you're an idiot. You shouldn't be hitting people anyone unless it's self defense in which case, yeah, punch the bitch who's trying to mug you. Same with chivalrous shit like opening the door for people: if you wanna open the door for people...
