Re: Burial - True Love VIP
For me, it would have to be these: Gaslight, Stairwell, Speedball2, Feral Witchchild http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dek0diwQ0r0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=72Rxxx5pCkA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYO3CKrCIuE As much as I love the super ambient, emotional things he does, it those dark, claustro...

I'd love to hear what his "darker" version of Untrue would have sounded like! For me, anyone of these would be very, very welcome: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=72Rxxx5pCkA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ack-vxThPww http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dek0diwQ0r0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...

Re: James Blake on the state of dubstep
Just saw James tonight in Philly. Really weird audience. But his set was really really good. Loved the dubbed out version of some songs. One part almost sounded like Basic Channel to me. Encored with an amazing cover of Anti War Dub. whatever his style of music is, it's good.

Re: Borgore. Whats your opinion?
But in all seriousness, parsons19, if you haven't already, check out the Distance albums. Lots of metal influence, but with much more finesse, not just noise. You'll quickly find out why Borgore ruined dubstep...

Link - Amazon Amenity (Chameleon Remix)
Also look for some later period Foul Play, and second the Boymerang LP. One of my favorite records of any genre.

Hard to tell. From that song specifically, it either sounds like a cheap casio type organ sound, or it could be a melodica/sample of a melodica played pretty high...

Re: ZOMBY
No, I mean Natalia's Song is literally the edit from the Mary Anne Hobbes last show. Even has the Burial "rain" at the start... Usually the song snippets that he posts are short edits of unreleased tracks. This sound like he downloaded the same mp3 of the show that everyone else has and cu...

Re: ZOMBY
I love Zomby,
however, I can't believe he posted Natalia's Song as just a cut from the Burial/Kode 9 DJ set, and Mercury's Rainbow (cut down now to just Mercury apparently) seems to be cut from a mix as well...

Re: Zomby at the Manchester Warehouse Project
Zomby is as much "rave" as was early Aphex Twin. Pushing its boundaries, bringing in experimental elements and tones, etc. There is alot in his arpeggios. Quite melodic and brilliant. If it were not for artists like Zomby, Burial and Mount Kimbie, I'd probably never have listened to dubste...

Re: the death of dubstep and the evolution of music
What does it matter to you if there are genres? If its all dance music, go and listen to Teisto. Its all the same dance music, right. I think your Albert Hoffman wanna be self skipped enlightenment and went straight to fried. TRY LESS DOSES. Also try to speak to people with a little respect. This is...
