Ableton weird static/white noise while nothings playing :/

Ableton has white noise on idle and this exports with tracks and it also stacks so when I load up 30 stems of a track the white noise is super noticable. I just spent 30 mins exporting stems and now I noticed this ;/ and I cant fix it there just white noise coming from each group while nothing is pl...

Ableton w/ separate sound card for monitoring & recording.

Okay so here is the deal. I have been using a steinberg ci1 (very cheap sound-card). But I have been running it at 96 buffer for years without any latency issues or lag. I recently bought a FastTrackPro as an interface to record vocals and acoustics and it is horrible - I have to run it at 1024 buff...

Re: Massive + Bandreject + Phase = Really dirt. How to clean

I spent about 4 hours last night trying all the methods above and I even went beyond what I planned on doing. There was nothing I could do to clean up the original sound and get it sitting good with in the mix. So I have just scrapped it and am going to re design my sound. Better luck next time :D

Re: Massive + Bandreject + Phase = Really dirt. How to clean

So this is my game plan. 1. Gonna devide each massive patch so there are 3 one for each oscillator. 2. Apply different fx inside of massive to clean all 3 oscialltors up. 3. Turn down sineshaper on all 3 maybe even remove it on some. 4. Switch to classic tube on some. 5. Send all 3 massive into a fx...

Re: Massive + Bandreject + Phase = Really dirt. How to clean

Since my patch is actually 3 osciallators. I might duplicate each massive 2 more times so each massive has its own oscialltor so I can have full control over all three parts and treat them seperate and blend em all together after. Don't know why I didnt think of this before. Stoked to try.

Re: Massive + Bandreject + Phase = Really dirt. How to clean

Big ups sunny_b I will deff try that. Eq out the freqs that sounds like shit. Then duplicate the massive, change some osc. Eq it so its opposite from the first synth and maybe cleaner freqs will be there. And some harmonics too!

Re: Massive + Bandreject + Phase = Really dirt. How to clean

The fx are applied on the massive patch itself. But I have returns for fx where I send the synth to . It still sounds shit imo.

Re: Massive + Bandreject + Phase = Really dirt. How to clean

A good example would be like Requake - No Pain No Gain or Requake - Rage Face. They got grit but sound hella clean in the mix.

Re: Massive + Bandreject + Phase = Really dirt. How to clean

Yeah I have turned down both but then I loose alot of the grit and it doesnt sounds as heavy as I would like it.

Massive + Bandreject + Phase = Really dirt. How to clean?

Alot of my synth patches are using massive w/ bandreject + sine shaper + alot of phase on the modulation osc. They sound really heavy and really unique except I cannot clean up this one synth. I have spen over 8 hours just trying to clean it up. Anyone else run into this problem and can give me some...

Re: How To Make This Sound - January 2012

Hey to make some dutty synths in massive that sound like that. You would just take OSC1 -12 Make it Frozen or find another one that works. mod osc1 -12 turn on phase and ring to osc1 Route to Filter1 using bandpass lfo both cutoff and bandwith to get a sick lfo lfo the eq highs + frequency + boost l...

Massive key note problems with MOD OSC.

I have my sound and I wrote a simple bar. It sounds good when only one note is played, when I try to write a melody every note is really off key and distorted. I am using alot of the MOD OSC inside of massive (Ring Mod, Phase, and Position). Is there a simple way around this so I can keep the same s...
