Was probably packed, no? Damn, out of all the times I've been to the Machine; I make a slight mistake not going to this one.

Listen to a lot of Neurofunk (DnB), as well as Downtempo/Trip-Hop and IDM (Artists such as Amon Tobin, Four Tet, Bonobo, Jon Kennedy, etc)
Listen to quite a bit a instrumental Hip-Hop (Blockhead) and with lyrics; A Tribe Called Quest, Notorious BIG, etc.

A few years back I though VA was an artist; damn that would've been a load of albums/releases to his name.

I basically thought it was to promote sales.
Oh, and this was explained on wikipedia: VIP remix, a term in drum and bass which refers to a remix created by the song's original artist, sometimes jokingly referred to as "Virtually Identical Production"

It's called taste in music; I know people who dislike Skream; but like Benga and vice-versa. This is an example how tastes settle; no matter who brilliant the producer is.
It's the same with genres, films, fit birds, etc.
