Re: PUT YOUR FINISHED TRACKS HERE FOR FEEDBACK.
Just posting a few tracks we've finished over the last month or so. Sorry if i'm taking the piss by posting them all at once. Any feedback and critique will be well received. Either on here or through soundcloud. The Styx. Darker feel. Rugged bass tones. http://soundcloud.com/the-ferrymen/the-styx I...

Re: PUT YOUR FINISHED TRACKS HERE FOR FEEDBACK.
New song in my signature. Check it out. I think that you possibly could have incorporated the vocal cut at the start into the intro a bit more. As a DJ i can tell this would be a frustrating way to opena track. Even just simple hat pattern to set the tempo and give the DJ something to latch onto wo...

Re: Captain Birdseye by The Ferrymen
http://soundcloud.com/the-ferrymen/captain-birdseye really like the Dubstep part of this.. Cant say im a very big fan of the auto tune tho. I read ya. It just kinda happened really. Sometimes can be hard to come up with a catchy hook for the melody without sounding cheesey. Hopefully our next track...

Re: Sample Packs
Thank you very much sir. Most obliged. I will have a look and give you some feedback. I just got the Rise SFX pack and am looking forward to hearing some bit son there. Meant to be quite interesting. I will have a little sit down with that tonight. If you'd like some feedback on that please let me k...

Sample Packs
Hello, Can anybody recomend any good sample packs for me? I am mainly looking for drum loops, drum hits and fx hits. Ideally i'd like the Loops to be Rex files although i can Re-Cylcle them so Wav isn't the end of the world - though it does mean i have to stop being a lazy A_hole. I am particularly ...

Re: "Help Me Make This Sound Thread PART TWO" ;)
Right i have attempted to answer two. Not sure i nailed it but gave it my best. I have become mildly obsessed with re-creating the sickeningly fast swishy stick wobble. I literally sit there for hours just trying to get it. I asked the question on previous thread similar to this one but didn't get m...

Re: "Help Me Make This Sound Thread PART TWO" ;)
im gonna be cheeky and go fer two noises here. the bass out of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GefxiTrmkOk? its got really sexy glidey bits and is quite chunky (which i assume is down to processing) or just basslines of that style in general, fans of kitsune releases will know what i mean. also http...

Re: producing at 150
I made a beat recently and was getting really into the groove of it and started adding some bass to it and then some FX. When i brought in some delay and synced it to 140 it all sounded wrong. I then realised that i hadn't changed Sonars default BPM setting which is at 110. The track sounded ok thou...

Re: What's hot/who's hot in dubstep right now? (N00b)
I saw nero at a Hospitalised night at Matta recently and it was unbelievable. Played some incredible tekky sounding stuff. Did some mixes that just blew my mind and the pace and selection of the whole set was spot on. I am pretty sure they were using three turntables as well because i heard "Li...

Re: How Do You Make This Sound...?
Sweet. Thanks mate. It has been doing my head in. Literally hours spent manipulating patches untill they just become mud.
I will slow my roll and be more patient with the envelopes. Seems to be a hell of a lot smoother and it gives you way more control.
Thanks for the time.

Re: How Do You Make This Sound...?
I've tried and tried again. Saws, Squares, Organs, Vox!! My buddy and i got Absynth out last night and started messing about with that and got kinda close by drawing in a filter envelope (sucha powerful synth) but making a 4 minute track like that would be LONG!!!!! I can get the wobble but i am rea...

Re: How Do You Make This Sound...?
I just signed up for an account becaus eof this thread. Bugger!! It was epically long and i barely scratched the surface. Still on the brightside at least now i can ask my question without worrying if anybody else has asked it. Here goes - How in the blue blazes do you get that really clean, fast ch...
