Re: Ravey sounds

no you got me wrong. i love old rave. but deadly's got it right... there's no trick.... load a sample and play up and down the keyboard. in those days samplers had lower bit rate. so you could try matching it with a lo-fi plugin and some filters. as for the original samples..... they were working wi...

Re: Ravey sounds

Re: this forum is full of shitty threads today

i haven't used a pure sine in a while. i like a little bit of flavor to it. this might mean i loop a cycle of an 808 drum, or it might mean limiting with quick release (IE 'soft' distortion), or adding some square/saw with my sine. i usually start with sine so it's there, but that doesn't mean there...

Re: this forum is full of shitty threads today

yes, i must agree that bass should be made with the intent that it will be felt -- this is fundamental. attention to how different bass rhythms affect mood is one of the most important things a dance musician can know. all other elements must either cooperate, or at least acknowledge the bass's pres...

Re: Pokémon Compilation :: Red/Blue/Yellow (Join Now!)

since me and tri have the same pokemon does this mean it is a collaborative effort now? or are we just doing separate tracks? Separate tracks, but I'm gonna concede them to you since I'm already competing with Narcissus for Porygon and I didn't realize that muk/grimer were taken. I'll work on anoth...

Re: How much $ are the "big" guys making

Big names definitely make around $10,000-$20,000 if I had to estimate. Maybe more if we're talking about artists that are big enough to have their shows sell out. A while back, Skrillex played a free show in STL. Though there are tons of haters, me and a few friends got the opportunity to have a sh...
