Re: Organic Dubstep?

the great thing about a didgeridoo, is you can resample it and create some crazy sounds. I think your biggest problem is the whole tune sounds rather muddy, and you have a lot of clashing sounds. Might want to post in the WIP thread of the production forum for more advice :) Overall structure seems ...

Re: Post an interesting sound you have made thread

My best notched reese so far - check my sig. It's in the growl that appears every so often. Was a rather defining moment in synthesis for me :) this is beastly man!!!! When ever i hear that reese i picture an alien screaming. Would you mind giving me some insight on how it was made? :t: Was pretty ...

also check where your sound is coming from. Usually it's either some kind of ground loop, or interference from other devices.

Re: Kontakt making samples quiet

the biggest problem I've had with kontakt, is that any file I export from ableton live, simply will not load up in kontakt 4. No errors, nothing - just an empty instance of kontakt. Haven't been able to use it since I bought it over 6 months ago =\

ps - if anyone actually likes this tune, follow me on SC - got a few more in the works that have a similar vibe, some a bit darker/grungier, some a tad lighter.

No you should take it as a direction given to you in order to learn the fundamentals you'll need to get started. Seeing as you clearly have no inclination to experiment by yourself - good luck with production!

Re: The 'help me make that dungeon sound' thread

re: growls - it's been answered a few times in recent reese threads, including the neurofunk bassline thread (which is ultimately what you want). Check my tune in my sig below for a similar growl (it's only a stab).

Digital Pilgrimz - Shogun (pHybian remix) Deep / Minimal

The frog is back. I was asked to do a remix of the original tune by Digital Pilgrimz, and after being sent the tune couldn't resist. The original is already a deep roller and in this version I take it up a notch with some gritty FX and growls, bring the sub to it's natural born roots (chest shatteri...

Re: How did you come up with your name?

I originally chose amphibian, but it turns out that that's not very unique, so when it came to researching myself in order to satiate my ego, it didn't work. pHybian was then my next choice, which appears to be used as a first name for some people, so I guess I have a new first name :P

Re: It's time to choose.

how accurate do you want your sound? I bought JBL 2300s and they are exceptionally good monitors. KRKs have a lot of emphasis on the bottom end, which makes them sound really nice, but they're not very accurate. Go have a listen to them yourself on your favourite tunes and decide :)
