Re: JUMPY/ BOUNCY DUBSTEP

Side chain compression is great for the bouncy feel. Put a crash or ride on the 1 2 3 4, but use side chain compression so they appear in the & portion of the beat.

Re: Need a teacher or someone who can help me start dubstep.

You're going to have to start somewhere. A lot of guys use Massive (DAW/VST) for dubstep wobble sequencing, but it would have taken me forever to figure it out if I didn't have a background in Reason and Ableton Live. Youtube tutorials will become your best friend, and this forum will become your as...

If only I had my ibanez guitar to show you... just type it into youtube for a demonstration. It's 3 notes/hits played in the same amount of time as an 1/8th or 1/4 note.

Headphone Repair (Soldering Question)

So I have a pair of Sony MDR-700D (Older Sturdier Model) and a couple of months ago one of the headphones went out. So I went out, got myself a new stereo jack at Radioshack. Yesterday I cut off the old jack, pulled out the solder gun, and began stripping the wires. What I noticed is that the 3 wire...

Eat it - Thoughts on Mixing and Mastering?

So its become apparent with the help of other producers advice that I need to work on my mixing. Definitely nice to take a break from producing songs everyday and focus on the fine tunings of my mixing and mastering. Here's a track of mine that I've been mixing. Obviously this isn't perfect. My stud...

Yeah if you rewire the reason synths to audio channels in reaper then you can still do all your sequencing in reason and all your mixing in reaper. That's what I did for ages with Ableton. Sequencing in Reason + Mixing and everything else in Ableton is my set up. I've tried many other DAWs and just...
