Re: Soul Of Seun - Capitulate ( Dark/Atmospheric 140)

I tried to eq the various elements a little better as prescribed. Does this sound clearer?

Thanks for the replies. I wouldn't have caught the clashing frequencies myself which is why I post here.

Soul Of Seun - Capitulate ( Dark/Atmospheric 140)

Update Okay, I took the recommended advice, went for a second mixdown and tried to get more clarity through EQ. Does this work better? https://soundcloud.com/soul-of-seun-s-o-s/capitulate-second-midown https://soundcloud.com/soul-of-seun-s-o-s/capitulate Tune I've been working on a for the last lit...

Re: Irraik - Enki's Prayer (hip hop/trippy)

Interesting. Very Three Six Mafia kind of vibe. The kick could use a bit more snap with a quick attack through compression. Other than that, I really can't say anything bad about it. Pretty nice effort. The samples really come together and blend in well.

Re: Wheelton - Lost (140/chill)

Solid intro, I like how it grows and increases in volume. No complaints from me however, the vocal sample saying "have you ever felt.." feels a bit dry. Maybe try some more delay on it? Other than that it's a pretty good effort. Sort of Like Boards of Canada Meets Be-1ne. Good job.

Re: High Bodies - Stablility (Dance/Excellent Sound Design)

These tracks are just ok. The sound design is actually decent enough, but as previously mentioned, these tracks don't progress very well. They're monotonous in their repetition. And The kick is quite weak so follow the previous advice there on eq'ing them. Also, try not to be such a massive fucking ...

Hmm that doesn't seem to be the case either. That's one of the first few things I checked. This one's a head-scratcher

Re: Fl Studio Adding Seconds of Silence to Tracks on Export

So do you have any ideas how to resolve this? I tried an automation clip on the master volume channel at the end of the track. Didn't seem to fix it.

Re: Ben Verse - The Maze

I am anticipating this a great deal. Ben Verse has one of the sickest styles on the scene. I hope it's a great mix 140, D&B and perhaps some other tempos.

Fl Studio Adding Seconds of Silence to Tracks on Export

So recently as I export my tracks to mp3 or wav, Fl studio has been adding about 14 seconds of silence to the end of the song. For example, if I have a song that's 4:20 in length in the DAW, on export the track will be 4:34 long or so, with the additional 14 second just being silence. It's not a big...

Re: That 'first' Dubstep song that got you into the genre?

Benga - 26 Basslines

Datsik - Gizmo & Havoc

Sukh Knight-Gangja Dub

These were the tunes that piqued my interest the most when i was first getting into it. From there I slowly started listening to Distance, Cluekid, Kromestar, Tunnidge and eventually Kryptic Minds..

Re: Nas Appreciation Thread

He was my favorite rapper when I was a teenager. I used to listen to NY State of Mind and NY State of Mind pt 2 everyday before school and after high school. Nas is one of the few emcees from that era along with guys like O.C. and Pharoahe Monch, that started in the Golden Age of the early 90's who ...

Very glad to hear Mr. Sparrow is back. Everybody has an existential moment(s) at point, but major talent is major talent and can't be left dormant for too long.

Re: Six Chakra - The Matrix [Deeper BROSTEP]

Pretty solid track. It's a bit on the repetitive side but the sound design is decent. The intro is very nice as well, nice amount of reverb on the percussion there.

Don't think I'd call this brostep at all. It's got sort of Hench vibe going on.
