Re: Clean AU sampler similar to Ableton Live's "Sampler"?

Yeah, but thats rewiring the whole daw isn't it? Not just using sampler as an au plugin. Anyway, I found this, that seems fairly similar to sampler (at least some aspects): http://www.expert-sleepers.co.uk/xfadelooper.html Also this, which also is a granular synth and not just a sampler, still has s...

MicroBrute: Honestly, everyone should own one of these. I don't like it for bass, but it's great for leads and sound FX and even percussion. If you want to get into layering and resampling (which I am guessing most around here would) you can pretty much do anything with it. I love just turning it o...

Can't use that in Logic though, can I?

Re: New Set of Monitors( Share experiences)

If you're into the HS series, check out yamaha MSP series. Made by the same guy who made the NS10s, most people will prefer these to the HS ones!

Re: Buying a pair of KRK

I wouldn't have gotten any of the Rokits, as they color the sound, which will make mixing harder. Get a flat pair of monitors instead!

Clean AU sampler similar to Ableton Live's "Sampler"?

Just watched this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QEjM3bRmmE4#t=450 And man, that sampler is perfect. So, I'm looking for a clean, preferably cpu light sampler for resampling audio. I did google this, but all I found was like huge sample libraries with choirs and strings... I have that in EXS24 in ...

Guy I talked to on reddit had actually bought it and said it was amazing, huge library and very inspiring apparently. But only good for deep, atmospheric shit, as you could expect, not exactly the tool for making phat saw basses.

Re: Headphones Recommendation

I'm in need for a headphones upgrade, so I'll be watching this thread. A question though, as I've recently started to learn mixing - are there any models that suit both production and DJing? Are there any specific characteristics that production and mixing headphones should have? If you want a head...

Re: REV by Output, looks pretty amazing

I've got this plugin since I'm partnered with Output, will do some tutorials on it soon. All I can say from playing around with it is that it has endless capabilities and the sounds coming from it are really great. I like how it comes in four versions, all aimed at creating different sounds. Ooh an...

Re: Headphones Recommendation

THere are many threds on this - search! My advice is to watch ebay/craigslist (here in my country we have "Blocket" which is basically craigslist but a little more serious/stricter/polished) and wait till a great deal comes up. I got my AKG K702s for 200 bucks and I'm really really happy with them. ...

Re: having a life

I think about this stuff a lot dude. I want to tell myself that I'm choosing to produce rather than going out/having fun because I enjoy it more but the truth is I'm not sure what I'd be doing if I wasn't producing, probably wouldn't have a life anyway. So it's not the production that gets in the wa...
