Re: Parasite/City 2 City Zomboy growl question

The Growl is definitely not a sample I would say it's fm8 (Zomboys Growls are actually pretty easy to make in fm8 the hard part comes with the fx chain) I dunno about that. I haven't heard an FM patch yet that sounds like his growl. His other signature basses seem pretty well created in Massive and...

Re: Parasite/City 2 City Zomboy growl question

I don't think that that he samples his growls. I would start with this tutorial, jaymac hits it pretty well.

Re: Dubstep in the key of?

I tend to do F and G mainly to get the sub bass in a decent range and that seems to be where a lot of pro tracks are sitting. Way back in the day I started tracks in C but the sub bass seems too low for most common listening systems to pick up unless you have subs installed.

Re: Soundcloud Format (MP3, WAV)

Well people are divided on this subject, but Soundcloud says the same thing as Haskey here. I would like to add that, in my opinion, you don't need to apply dither on most dance music. Any form of music with heavily compressed/limited dynamics doesn't really need it. The only need for dithering is ...

I am meyah with it so far. I need to work with it and learn more about it. I think that it can replace massive though...it has some pretty clever features.

Eh!de "its fing Terror Squad"

Does anyone know what Ehide used for the Zomboy rip off vocals in this track? Was this a sample or a voice generator thingadoobie?

I am heavily re-considering my paid subscription as well. Their war on copyright material is a problem. I made an account on mixcloud but man...it seems so dead there too.

Just recreate a Zomboy bass and post it in sound design and you will have 500 people look at your profile. It's like magic.

Re: Best vst synth around

I would think about an FM synth if it isn't in your lineup. You have a lot more control of a sound in FM than from static wavetables. Having said that though....I just got Serum a couple of weeks ago. I am really happy with Serum but it sounds just like Massive. Serum can almost replace Massive...yo...

Re: Trollphace/Skrillex Bass

Haven't had much luck with Melodyne formant play. I am not sure who's sound is who's but I like both synths a lot. One has a vinyl kind of sweep too it and the other has more of a yaw mouthy character which I guessing is Skrillex's.
