They got their arrest quota's to keep the Powers happy. I only realised recently that the festival organisers have to PAY the cops to be there, how fucked is that. That Klaxons remix is a total guilty pleasure. Reminds me of being a teenager even though if you asked me back then i would of told you ...

When I get this I will be able to recreate Loefah's amazing Dubstep Warz mix! I will be doing me best Sgt. Pokes impression! "In come Loefah .... heavyweight soulja...." "Sounds of the Warchief" I love the way Pokes finds the perfect spot to say a few words. Just before drops, he seems to emphasise...

It could of been louder. I was dragging my mates around the dancefloor (sorry skankers) looking for the sweetest bass spot. My favourite track from the whole weekend* was him dropping the Klaxons remix, it just put a huge smile on my addled head. Excellent set from Skream totally bumped him up my li...

Try this with a drum loop try setting attack and release to zero with ratio very high and threshold set to -30 db or whatever will make it compress all the time. Slowly increase the attack time until the inital part of the drum sounds develop the amount of aggresion you want. Increase the release so...

You can get the same effect as a pumping compressor by using the Autopan plug in Ableton. Set the phase so the volume curves match, set the rate to 1 or 1/2 then what you have is a volume envelope that you can change with the shape amount and offset controls. This will let you suck down the volume o...

I can't play so I sing melodies through a mike (or headphones stuck into an audio input) then match it with midi. Makes for a more natural spontanious vibe

Just the thing for a bit of home mastering for a digital release. How come the PSP Vintage Warmer isn't there. I thought everyone and their mum used that one.

Try a 2 Osc synth with Osc 2 and octave higher than Osc 1. Loads of Res and an LFO modulating Cutoff of a LPF. Then try different Waves for the Osc's but the resonance on the filter is the main sound. good luck

Re: 1-Pole vs 4-Pole Filter

Just got a Little Phatty (woo-hoo, btw), and I expected the legendary MOOG 24db 4-pole LP filter to be the one I would use, but find that the 1-pole seems to cut cleaner through the sound. My analogue 101 is escaping me right now, and google isn't any help. Anyone able to post a primer on poles? Pl...

The MS-20 Synth on the Korg Legacy Collection can sound well evil. You can sweep its low pass filter around the lower end with the best resonance on a low pass filter i've heard, and i've the Virus C. Bass you can touch!

Try adding a second of silence at the end of the track. I think Myspace uses gracenote copyright protection which compares the track you uploads lenght in samples to a database of copyrighted tracks lenght in samples. If your tracks lenght is an exact match with a copyrighted tracks lenght, by coinc...
