Make one! So so easy! Start with a square wave, then use a really fast saw/ramp shaped lfo to modulate the pitch..... play a high note et voila! :) Try messing with other oscillator and lfo shapes for variation. Also add a really tight reverb set fairly dry for a slight amount of closeness ;) Just t...

M Class has more functions than the PEQ-2 eq. Functions like the -30Hz cut button. You could also use some compression on your bass. Again, use the M Class Compressor. Two compression settings I use regularly are displayed in the pic below. EQ first, then compress. Some frequencies may trigger the c...

Phobias

I recently managed to handle a spider after years of being scared silly by spiders! It took me months to become used to the site of them and to be able to approach them lol Well call me a ninny, but you can understand why I've been afraid of spiders when you see this beast! http://img301.imageshack....

Aproach it from the other direction. Think of a name, idea, story or point that you wish to share. Then make a tune based on your message. For instance, a tune called "Supermarket Shelves are Empty" might be expected to be eerie, ambient with a slow beat.... Getmeh? The name of a track will affect t...

Yeah the lens flare is a little overkill really. I played with having it softer and positioning it from the top right corner too. Dont know why I chose the centre? :o The buildings were coloured in a lighter shade to purvey a sense of distance. I don't really do much artwork by hand these days, so I...

I guess for me, having used Reason from R1 upwards, R4 represented the biggest change of workflow. This kinda threw me a little and I haven't entirely got used to it yet...

Must........ Resist.......... Change........ lol ;)

i think reason is great, mind you i have very little experience of anything else. been producing for 2 years, a year and a half on r3, last 6 months on r4 and lovin it. just got ableton 7 and izotope ozone and am getting into having them rewired, which can be slightly confusing at times, but certai...

Reasons I dislike Reason 4. I find the R4 sequencer over complicated, bloated and a drag to use... Extra lanes per track are genius.. Automation is simple, just alt + left click on the nob, slider ot button you wish to automate and a lane is automatically created in the seq, what could be easier? K...

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO paying the extra money just so u can enjoy the superior sequencer and FARFAR superior thor synthesiser is really worth it! or u can just dl it like most of us did I completely disagree! Get the demo for both, then test the sequencer and extra devices in R4 against those in R3...

I think it depends on whether you wish to track vocals, whether you want dsp effects (Pro Tools), and whether you want a guitar preamp built in. If your just going to be using soft synths to make your music, then stick with what comes bundled. If you want to get deeper into music production, buy a d...
