I used battery for a little while but didn't get on with it amazingly, but that was probably just me. I know quite a few people who use it extensively and have great results from it. I used it in Ableton and got the impression that it wasn't too taylored for it, but again that was probably just me. ...

1. Mute all tracks except one you want to "resample" or convert to audio pardon? :? Select the clip you want to export, or set the loop to surround the clips if you have multiple sections you want to bounce, then File > Export Audio/Video, then change "Rendered Track" to the track you want to bounc...

I've recently started rewiring Reason through Ableton, but only because I'm an Ableton user wanting to use aspects of Reason. Seems to work quite well from my experience so far, I would recommend, but then again it's down to opinion on what you like to use. And to the comment about Reason being crap...
