Re: Things that prevent you from producing tunes...

GTA4, Halo 3, Silent Hill, coursework, job hunting, watching House M.D. or fuckloads of Steve Coogan, and getting way too high/drunk and being full of really good musical ideas but completely fail at being able to use a computer

Re: max/msp

powerful program... though i've only ever really used it to make patches that turn xbox and wii controllers into midi devices, and for quick live-sound editing and noise improvisation patches. Tried to make a few other things but I never really go anywhere with it. it's a lot of fun if you know what...

Re: I'm 16 and a begginer, what software?

if breakcore's what you're into (and i guess it is by your name and your post) you totally want to be looking mainly at Fruity Loops or Renoise

only saying because I totally want to hear more breakcore/dubstep crossover producers :)

Re: Starting

in fact, if it's about money, just look up that great futures_untold thread with all the free music-making equipment, using reaper and all that

or use renoise if you're willing to properly sit down and understand it, the demo only doesn't let you save .wavs, and the full version is cheap anyway

FL allows for more bit more versatility than Reason, the audio engine's a bit n...

between 2 days and 2 weeks. If it takes longer than that I'll feel like I've fallen out of the loop and will probably never finish it!

Re: Producers who don't DJ

Ableton LIVE is killing the scene. People with no experience in DJing are getting booked playing other peoples tracks in clubs while playing solitaire! I hate this new generation of so called 'live' sets. you realise most ableton players worth their salt aren't actually doing this? These people are...
