That'd just about make my year, I have to say. Bloody love that tune. On the other hand, the neighbours might not be quite so keen....boomnoise wrote:According to Martin' Pitchfork column it is due to be released on Causal

Yeh - if you wanted the bass to really punch through, standing near the stacks on the balcony was the best place... It did sound pretty huge up there...my brain's still rattling from some of Loefah's stuff. It being my first DMZ, I bow to the superior knowledge of regulars on how it contrasted with...

Bought it from Warp last week, so I imagine that they'll still have copies. They don't hammer you on the postage either....

It took me back to my dim and distant youth, when I spent unheathily large amounts of time hanging around in sparsely populated hellholes, waiting for some Peel-sponsored band to make it all seem worthwhile. And sometimes, quite often, I'd wonder why the sodding hell I'd bothered; and sometimes, ver...

know what you mean about Dalek though - never seen the fuss here. Man like El-P (rather than El-B, just so theres no cunfusion) make way more fucked up hiphop than Dalek while coming from much more of a backpacker true-school direction rather than specifically trying to do some industrial thing. Ye...

Thanks, man. Much appreciated. They don't sit around picking their noses at Hard To Find, do they? Ordered at lunchtime and shipped already, apparently...and they had a copy of "Too Hot" by Toasty too, which I'd given up on finding.DJ $hy wrote:I got mine so now I'll let you lot know

Did anyone else hear the Godflesh retrospective double album? some really interesting b sides and remixes (sorry dubway, shifting bare off topic!) No, didn't hear that. I'm slightly surprised to discover that I didn't buy either of the last two God albums either...which probably means that I'd star...

Yeah I've got a God LP floating around somewhere, the Anatomy of Addiction. Sick album, the first track gave me an instead headache every time I tried to listen to it. Wasn't Kevin Martin in ICE as well, I think I had one or two of their albums way back in my teens. Yes, that's true. I have to say ...

Kevin was in God, though (i think) just to confuse matters further Bloody hell, this is weird. You're absolutely right: Kevin Martin was the vocalist/saxophonist in God, who were a truly extraordinary free jazz/noise ensemble from London a few years ago. Part of the whole Swans-influenced noise sce...

Shops in Brighton...?
Any shops worth checking down here, d'you know? There's a little section in Rounder, but nowhere else that I've been into seems to stock any dubstep at all, unless I've missed it. It'd be nice to stop paying a bloody fortune in postage!

I've always wandered around a bit randomly in search of whatever interesting noise is breaking; there's nothing like that crest-of-a-wave thrill when a sound's still defining itself. So, somehow or other, with a load of strange detours along the way, I've come from listening to Napalm Death in 1987 ...
