Ali Farka Toure is dope. or was dope should i say, he croaked it recently. the problem with i have alot of world music is its hugely overproduced in my opinion, and makes it sound a bit sanitized and soulless. the world circuit label seems to be fairly well respected. i love digging for world music ...

As for Akon -- i don't get it either. Infact, i reject a lot of what he's about. He has a clothing line called "KONVICT". Who in their right mind would wear that on their chest? lol the jailbird illiterate...? maybe its for all those sex offending rnb stars, a kind of naming and shaming, ...
