Re: dubstep = hipsters?
I apologise for posting this in advance. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lVmmYMwFj1I Sums it up reasonably well... There are a lot of people like this at nights, but I am slightly guilty of having a moustache and wearing skinny jeans (not paint-on skinny or anything though!). I'm definitely not a hip...

Re: Mala - Eyez VIP
Yeah. I was maybe a bit hasty. I saw the name in the tracklist and went a bit beserk...Skriptah wrote:Just listened to that mix, was not the vip, unless im mistaken, but it didnt sound like the one in the link above.
It was mixed in a lot though.

Re: Dubsteppers in South Wales??
I'm originally from Bridgend (yeah...). This meant I had pretty much zero cultural reference in EDM, until I came to uni in Brighton. The first time I came back home I went to Monkey Bar in Swansea to see Doctor P (I was young and naive then! ) and it was pretty damn disappointing system-wise...

Re: Example & Skream not dubstep??
Are you implying that Skreams a sellout? -w- Nah man. I think if anyone is riding the perfect line between mainstream (ie Magnetic Man) and the hardcore (ie Freeizms), it's Mr. Jones! I'm just saying by doing that secret gig out to a 'relatively' ignorant crowd he would be getting the maximum effec...

Opinion on Rusko's older 'reggae' styled output?
Hi all. I was wondering what the general view here was on Rusko's more reggae inspired tracks. Most are from his early days as a producer when a track would either be clowny jump up or something in the strain of digital steppers, dub reggae. His Lost Dubs giveaways had a few examples. I personally r...

Re: Example & Skream not dubstep??
It's not too bad as far as a more mainstream sound goes, I think. That club and the night they did the secret gig at isn't really known for it's dubstep...more of a pop crowd looking to get laid. :corndance I ain't got anything against that, but it just shows what Skream and Example were aiming for....

:o Woah! Totally gonna see JB soon! I need to hear this on a system! It's always amazing when one properly distinctive producer does a version of another properly distinctive producer's track! Sparks fly or something! :i: Shouts for uploading the clips guys! Even in that quality, it's sublime! :D

Re: Anyone honestly feeling Juke?
Only really heard about it in the last half year. Mainly through the Footcrab / Work Them line of things. I'm still not 100% on all that I hear. Bits of the music make me pretty excited, but I'm not that into hip-hop toned things, so it can be a bit too much for me sometimes. But the drive and energ...
