Re: FINALLY Got my vocal chops sounding good.

an easy go to way of making a melody with chopped up vocals is just find each vowel sound in the acapella and load it into a sampler/vocoder and pitch accordingly. hm never even thought of that ahah, guess everyone just does it their own way but same idea. just listen to scary monsters and nice spr...

Re: Production + Narcotics

i usually don't produce under the influence but on occasion i'll toke up or have a few drinks and just pump out a tune all in one night and throw it up on the soundcloud. when i'm sober sometimes i'll sit there for hours over thinking and over analyzing on what to do and how to do it, but when i'm a...

Re: Logic Studio 9 v Logic Express

looks like you can only upgrade from Express to Studio, but I highly recommend it. you get a ton of loops and sound effects that all sound great. and you get a few extra programs like Soundtrack and a few others. I actually bought my upgrade from amazon and saved about $50-$60 including shipping com...

Re: Skrillex Growl in FM8 (Got A Rough Sound)

Thanks guys! It is still a really rough sound, I'll try to get it sounding clearer, then make a tutorial! I do think FM8 is a really overlooked synth, it can make some really powerful stuff. I agree. I almost don't want to touch massive again because the sounds you can make in FM8 just have so much...

Re: Uncomfortable blasting your own music?

It IS funny how people are so critical of music and think they're experts even though most of them know fuck all. honestly lege that's one thing that irks me. like i'll play a brand new track i made and try to explain to my friends all this shit i did to make the drums, synths and stuff and they ju...

Social Networking: what gets me to subscribe and check back is pretty much what you stated (exclusive content, free dl's, and having the artist say something from time to time. also with youtube or soundcloud embeds which makes it easy for me to listen to more and more tracks. makes it convenient yo...
