Re: Replacing a Tonearm

mm id have to disagree with the last thing , throwin it away. To throw away a Technic 1200 simply cause the tonearm is bent is a major waste. You can get a new tonearm assembly for about 100$.
How bent is the axle? Take a pic

Re: How do you make your songs dancable?

Dont hate on the electro house. I love dancing to that stuff. On the topic of the thread: I think the answer is there is no answer like the first guy who responded was eluding to. You either feel the tune and get INTO it or you dont. Your track might make you get up and dance around your room and do...

Re: Emalkay - When I Look At You SUB Help!

Try to use a tube simulating compressor. Vacuum tube ampflifiers naturally compress much better than any digital ones do. Thats what some mastering engineers do to squash that signal just right.

Re: So your a Producer and you think you're better than....

this thread is ridiculously fucking stupid anyone with the mindset you described ("think one is better than 80% of what one hears on most mixes") is clueless. great artists have a certain level of humility and modesty... Distance doesn't walk around thinking "I AM THE BEST MOTHERFUCK...

well heres the good news. These idiots who are talentless and spamming for mass comments are going to inflate their ego so much that they think their music is good even if its complete shit. Re: In Ear Monitoring (for drummer)

just get a pair of headphones that fully cover your ears. The ones I have reduce outside sound around 30dB, thats about the same as a pair of earplugs. Thats going to be important if you want your drummer to hear the track over his super loud as fuck drums.

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for SEPTEMBER, 2010

@wabble - like the idea mate but sounds abit messy atm, drums sounds muddy imo, too much high pitch ends to the hits. I like the lead synth but as someone said above, it needs bringing forward in the mix. keep working on it though as it could be good, only other thing id say it take the eq sweeps o...

Re: WORKS-IN-PROGRESS for SEPTEMBER, 2010

I did some changes last night, u´re right it's a very simple song i did this in about 4 hours and there's plenty of things a could do to it, about the presence on the bass i don´t know how to do it :( turning the volume up will make it sound muddy. Oh, i meant like make the reverb wet/dry knob need...

Re: WORKS IN PROGRESS FOR AUGUST, 2010

http://soundcloud.com/grok/middle cool melodic content. I think the reversed cymbal effect sounds good , but u use it too much. I would make it more rare and throw in some other complementing thing... It would be really cool to hear that bassline mesh with that melody part. Maybe the chords only wi...

Let me know what u think. I still plan to throw more mixups into the dr...
