Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
@renagadex - not bad at all. you need some general equing though, the synth pad is totally lost in there and your lead needs to let the other elements breath more IMO

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
@jetpack theif girl , heavy beat dude and thanks for ur feedback. I would add more bass chops in there and even some more sporadic samples, like that voice you got in there already. Some light delay on your hats might sound good too.. just a thought

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
@ehbrums1 - no need to be a dick, how do you know he didnt post any feedback in the 100+ pages of this thread? You searched them all yourself or something? Ocelot, the breaks are cool but yah, that synth totally doesnt fit. It could if you put loads of FX on it or maybe just used samples instead. Ma...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
@aplz - untitled - wip wow.. love this minimal dark vibe your going for. Keep at it! IMO a few suggestions that might make it better: more shuffling drum patterns.. maybe ones coming in and dropping out sporadically. @lord-drape-alligator - great vibe on this one too. I think that bass distortion co...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
@dougriley bios - i think its pretty cool. is that a comb filter? its a nice sound but it feels like its not defined enough. like it could sound a little clearer or messed with to have a more cut sound. also the wobbles dont WOB hard enough. needs more of a transient. @thereindeer - theres a kick th...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
@baasDNB: I fucking hate your tune! Jk. I quite liked it. There’s no ‘stepping’ going on though. The drums are way lost under there. It needs a healthy mixdown. If it were my track, I’d take the main synth you have going and sort of fade it in and out, get some motion on it and weave it in and out ...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
@ frequency - darkness I feel like this tune has a while to go. The notes are just rather predictable and plain. You need to make your chord progression more interesting or put some other synths to accent ur current notes... @ bluntz - sloppy-option this tune is well produced and I like it. everythi...

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
@darkdubz - speyside What can I say, nice work. Your tunes moody dark and the production is really clean. Sounds more finishd than a WIP imo @oprs- master this tune is just awesome.. Its fresh and just plain badass. Only complaint is around 1:20 when that new synth comes on.. IMHO it doesn't fit wha...

this is to do with not having the latest massive patch. It adds the option of being able to use automation on the synced lfo rate

Re: New to Dubstep production, slightly overwhelmed.
you should rephrase the question to "I see all of those tutorials and lirbraries of knowledge and rather than slowly learning everything bit by bit, can you just tell me the QUICK and EASY way to sound like Datsik and then become super popular and signed??? I mean common, hard work is hard!!&q...

Re: Speaker Repair
alright. It sounds like you isolated it down to the crossover or the wiring inside the speaker. You could take the good crossover from the other speaker and try putting it in to see if the problem disappears. If it does, then just order that one u found.

Re: Speaker Repair
looks like the amp is in the sub from the manual. Yah the way it works is, your signal coming from your amplifier goes into your crossover which roughly divides the frequencies up so that your low end goes to the woofer and the high end to your horns/tweeters. What was the result from swapping chann...

Re: Speaker Repair
Well these guys are making it seem harder than it really is and trying to just give you a hard time, which is what assholes usually do. It sounds like you narrowed it down to a blown out horn. To make sure, swap both speaker channels, so left is right and right is left, then see if the same cracklin...

Re: Speaker Repair
uhh, a crackle probably means u ripped something in the speaker woofer itself. Its probably only when something loud goes right? I've fixed speakers using household glue that were blown out, u just have to pull the speaker out of the cab and inspect it thoroughly. The last one I fixed had the webbin...

Re: Introducing Deadly Dreams (production based blog)
lol what a joke. Yes I told someone to use a tube simulating compressor in a thread because they were trying to get a smoother compression than a standard compressor which "snaps" on. I never claimed that this is an accurate analog sound, it is still just a cheap imitation plugin. Your try...
