I'm trying to convince Dead Rats to come for a beer, last chance to see you guys before new year, I suppose. He's finishing bout 8, plus travel to Angel. Kay - spoke to Glenn and Nick too, if Martin is up for it I'll try to get them to come as well.
Wubstep, any particular exhibitions?

Re: Paul McCartney as Kurt Cobain
Nice one!! Nomeansno were from the Pacific Northwest as well so they were around a lot. They are from Victoria/Vancouver, British Colombia. Ministry was another one of our favs. We used to blast "The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste" on our way up the mountain to go snowboarding. Did you...

Re: London Restaurant Thread
anyone know anywhere good in Angel/ around those north-ish ends? If you are willing to spend a little bit - Ottolenghi. Food was amazing, I've never had anything tasting so sublime in my life. Staff was lovely and non-judgmental despite our, erm, rough presence. http://www.ottolenghi.co.uk/location...

Re: Paul McCartney as Kurt Cobain
Anyone likes Nomeansno? 'Mama' was one of the tapes I could listen to on repeat. Next to Ministry, haha. Yes!! They are only one of my most favourite bands of all time! Last time I saw them was a couple of years ago. They are still rockin' hard. Aha! I saw them in Poland, Finland and then a couple ...

Re: Paul McCartney as Kurt Cobain
Fugazi live were awsome!! I saw them a few times. Saw them in Helsinki, nice one! I was into punk, too, so didn't really give a fuck about Nirvana that much, they were OK. Never got into Smashing pumpkins, at all. Anyone likes Nomeansno? 'Mama' was one of the tapes I could listen to on repeat. Next...

Yeah, just read about it too. It seems so odd that I'm actually curious about the outcome. Even though I know it's gonna be shite.

Re: Good (once) banned films
Salò - the 120 Days of Sodom This isn't something I'd recommend personally. I see it the same way as I see stuff like Men Behind The Sun. I haven't seen Men Behind The Sun, but after reading a synopsis on IMDB I'd probably agree. It is a well disturbing film, but I think it portrays an abuse of pow...

DMZ used to gather a big chunk of this forum. Remember when a bunch of people from the state side came over? Right now System is perhaps the only night that gets people traveling from distant places to experience again what we thought was gone. I hope Mala's departure won't kill it.
