Why would you do this? The point of a compressor is to squash louder frequencies so you can hear the quiet ones come through the mix

i sub is just 1 frequency.... Compressing it would just get rid of any dynamic range ( eg wobble or adsr)

or am i missing something??

filtered rhodes/electric pianos are good for these.... play around with the decay/release and filter cutoff, get some nice prgressive sounds going..... if you want to make it, saw waves, which are then low passed work quite well.... I used sample a reese in my last song and it sounded it pretty awes...

resample, automate loads of parameters in delays chorus , distortyion.... do it for like a 2 minute sample and take out the bits you like resample etc.....
