Re: How to make kicks sound full?
Layering? Bitcrushing? Reverb? These things are all well and good if you are doing them for 'creative' purposes but IMO they aren't techniques that should be used as a quick fix it patch for making your kicks feel bigger. Does nobody actually spend the time to mixdown any more? Aka, just make the ki...

Re: Stealth Elf - Evolution (Dubstep/Garage)
Hell yeah bruv, as usual expanding on that Stealth Elf sound, your tunes remind me of the DMZ crew making Garage and 2 step, with those horns/synths and shakers replacing some of the hi hats. Over all quality tune mate, mastering is good as well and the sub fits perfectly. The melodic progression s...

Stealth Elf - Evolution (Dubstep/Garage)
New one from me, aint posted anything here for a while. I guess it's dubstep but I'm so used to making garage it feels weird to not call it garage :s Reasonably dark and melodic, bit grimey towards the end too. http://soundcloud.com/stealthelf/evolution Critical feedback welcomed, love welcomed, hat...

Re: This is a direct result of you bastards stealing sh*t
Never heard of anyone that used Kore. Never saw the use for it myself. Makes sense they'd give it the axe. Skrillex. Deadmau5. There's video if you look for it. Yeah it seemed to be for lazy people that like to tweak patchs, instead of making them (I'm jkin don't get butt hurt cause I diss the mau5...

Re: Anyone actively making hiphop still?
I do, though I usually try and record some acoustic guitar then chop that up instead of sampling old songs.
Nobody will ever hear any of it though probably...too nervous about sharing my rhymes and the back beats are really quite bare without lyrics.

Re: Understanding melodies and basslines
The growly midrange things you probably call basslines are not bass no. Most people call them basslines because they follow the same note pattern as the bass but really they are more like distorted leads. I think you are getting the terms 'melody' and 'lead' confused perhaps. Unless your basslines w...

Re: Guys, just think...
Triple post but y'all can blow me. Most people who say they're religious really aren't. They just say that they're a Christian or whatever because they haven't the open mind to think about what they're saying/doing and question it. Everyone that I've met that says they're a Christian (most people he...

I didn't think anyone could steal the crown from chad or jr as the official king of stupid questions but this thread just smashed the record into the next century.

Re: Free logos
I can see there's a long waiting list but I've been after a logo for ages so if you get the time I'd love one for 'Stealth Elf'. Colour scheme similar to what's on my bandcamp preferably - http://stealthelf.bandcamp.com/ would want quite a simple logo, maybe a little flashy but like £10bag said it w...

That's sick. Alchemy is the only synth I ever use these days. It's the fucking boss. Massively under rated.
