Re: Problem with Numark Mixtrack and Traktor

Not sure what you mean mate.
It's working fine with Virtual DJ and it should be working with Traktor.

Problem with Numark Mixtrack and Traktor

For some reason Traktor Pro 2 detects the controller but the faders and x-fader aren't assigned. I tried manually but shit won't work anyway.
Any ideas ?
Btw, that's the standard Mixtrack. A few friends are using Mixtrack Pro and don't have this problem.

Re: Are there any plugins that can morph two synths like in

another possibility, you may be able to send 1 midi track to both synths, assign the volumes of both the synth lanes to a controller or a dial/wheel on your keyboard so as you turn it the volume dips on 1 and increases on the other like a crossfader, then bus both of them together at the end. Its n...

Re: Are there any plugins that can morph two synths like in

Camel Audio's Alchemy can do it thanks to additive and granular resynthesis, which means you won't have the exact same sound but something very close (not always tho) and editable. You can find more info about it on Camel Audio's forum @ KVR. I read there are a couple freeware appz that will do it a...

Re: What are ghost hits and how can i use/make them?

Take a standard jungle or drum'n'bass breakbeat, the ghost hits are these snares being played in between 2 hi-hats that makes it groovier. You can easily make ghost snares out of the main snare of your drum kit by shortening the decay. Velocity is how hard you hit your MIDI keyboard keys. Think of a...

Re: can I eq my system to be flat?

can I eq my system to be flat? No. the headphones don't really give me an adequate reflection of my subbass, as they cut around 40hz. Wat do guys? :corntard: Most monitors will cut around 40 Hz as well. Your options : a) get a monitors + sub combo b) get a pair of headphones with a decent bass resp...

I always tune a sample to C on import, then do everything by ear from there.

Re: Having a TOUGH time transitioning from Melody to Bass Dr

Usually I make a 32 bars loop with all the elements : drums, sub, bass, fx, pads, etc and use everything but the sub & bass for the intro, adding all elements progressively. Remove all atmospheric elements on the drop, possibly add a riser on the 2 or 4 last bars of the intro, put a crash cymbal...

Any synth with 3-6 oscs + analog & digital waveforms is capable of making a large range of sounds.

It would go something like this :
"Don't even get started and have a life instead.
If you're too fucking stubborn to listen to that advice, learn music theory, playing keyboard, layering and the purpose of an EQ.
Have some breaks and stop complaining you don't have enough time"

Re: Cheap way to mix some tracks at home

From there I came to the Traktor Kontrol S4 which I am not really interested in for the price but next to that I saw the denon dn sc2000, which is like a mini single deck with the ability to switch decks, it all looks pretty good watched some videos on youtube and I like it, very good price as well...

Do you have any idea how "good" the sound system will be ? If that's the usual conference speakers you have all rights to be anxious  Also, it seems you're going to be ready for this one but for a later occasion, buying an used Numark Mixtrack Pro to control Virtual DJ or Traktor is a...

Can't stress enough the importance of a good mobo & psu tho. That's the problem pre-built computers, you never know what you get until it's broken.
