surely it is israel as the occupying force, who should withdraw and put down its tanks, f-16s, artillery, guns, bulldozers... i'm not talking about whether or not they should stop their violent conduct because it's wrong, or it's worse than the other side's, or anything like that. they should stop ...

and got to say i disagree about the non-violence comment. up until june 9, hamas was following a unilateral cease-fire against israel for 16 months, which ended when israel bombed a family sitting on a beach. in june alone, israel killed 55 palestinians. this was when hamas was not attacking israel...

if you look at what the spokespeople have been saying, for the first couple of days they were saying the military action was to get the soldiers back, then it was to find tunnels (in gaza) and to stop rockets being fired (lebanon). after about a week they change again to saying that it is to remove...

THERE IS PLENTY OF OIL http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peak_oil_theory i mean...it's a theory, but it's certainly got a fair bit of evidence to back it up. i don't pretend to understand all of the technicalities, but it certainly makes for chilling reading its collateral in war this is what's so baffl...

i'm a great believer in personal religion. if you feel the need to heap praise on whatever entity/entities you believe blessed you with life, then go ahead - but i don't see the point in making everyone else (often painfully) aware of it. all this lavish organised religion seems to be an overly self...

or maybe i just have synesthesia. there was a great little anecdote i heard somewhere about a famous composer who thought, as a child, that the reason the lights went down at the start of an orchestral concert was so that everyone could see the colours more vividly. he had synesthesia and thought e...
