Re: is there a "how to make a record label thread?

well yeah, i wasn't saying to just go and cut shit if you have money. you'll end up with boxes of tunes in your closet. you need to have distro sorted ahead of time and actually plan your releases if you want them to sell. going to be hard to sell no-name producer tunes unless you release them on fl...

Re: is there a "how to make a record label thread?

You can do vinyl runs of 300-500 plates for around $1,500 with metal work, mastering, test presses etc... People you cut through can usually hook you up with distro too if you ask. For vinyl, all you need is money. Digital, anyone off the street can run one with no money at all.

Re: repercussions of a cheap mixer

get a rane or something else with magnetic faders that will never wear out. i've gone through two numark mixers in a matter of months. first one was a dm3002x and the fader burnt out in a month. sold it on ebay to an aussie for $40 or something. second one was a dxm06, which had a d-type fader and a...

Re: FL Studio 9.1 Released

I finally installed it last night to try out the assisted PDC cause I was using a plugin with delay on a track. In short, the APDC didn't work. It said none of my tracks had latency to correct. This was with Waves X-Noise. Manually entering the delay wasn't too much of a problem cause it's in the ma...

Re: Posting on the dubs section feels pointless.

dubs section sucks. majority of the stuff posted you can't even download and are just links to myspace, soundcloud, etc. i've posted packs of wave files in there and got maybe a handful of downloads, so just take the links down. meanwhile, i've posted stuff in the production forum a long time ago an...

Re: FL Studio 9.1 Released

Just install it. FL has had PDC, but it wasn't automatic. It was all manual and can be a PITA if you have a lot of mixer tracks in your project.

Snatched this as well when I got the e-mail. Haven't had the time to really play with it, but I went through all the sample loop patches and was pretty impressed.

this. i always use the original and process myself to get what i want. i forget what it used to be called in older versions, but the vintage kits in FL are 808 and 909 replicas.

Re: FL9, timestretching without pitch changing?

you might also need to change from resample to suit it as well depending on what you are stretching. pro default should preserve the pitch. this all just through the sample channel settings. there are other ways to do it in edison by giving the audio file you want to stretch the bpm info and then it...
