Re: Label Interest Dilemma - for "Falcon Punch!"

have you thought about maybe putting your track on beatport? you might get some sales. also, i wouldn't worry about having 'blown it' by releasing your track. any publicity is good publicity, and this gets your name out there. its not like you could make loads of cash from music sales these days any...

Re: The mystery of the Excision/Datsik Bass sound in reason

Awesome, i'd never have thought to assign the lfo to the saturation, makes some interesting noises. Still haven't managed to make it tho, but noticing interesting effects with the really short reverbs.

Re: The mystery of the Excision/Datsik Bass sound in reason

Well just the synths used, waveforms, filters, and the effects chain would be good to know! Maybe some screenshots? I've been messing around with synths for ages now and not come up with something like that, fair play. Did you split the signal into different frequency bands? Did you resample or is t...

to the OP - why on earth do you want such a steep filter? i don't understand how it could help making music.

Re: Brostep Tune Battle VOTING *Voting Ended*

Mine should have won, i am the next Rusko! I just need to learn how to produce first...

Seriously tho, congratulations to MOTHERDAVID, a real good track. If i were you i'd release that track on beatport.

Mine was track8, first attempt at making a tune so i'm not too ashamed. :)

Subsonic bass

Hey, i was wondering about cleaning up a track by filtering out the ultra low bass below 20-30 hz. Most systems can't play this anyway and trying to would probably make them use power that could be better spent playing the audible bass. What does everyone else think to this?

Re: Brostep Tune Battle VOTING *Voting Ends 30th Dec 9AM GMT

was quite surprised I'm not. Most of us here are nowhere as good as the real brostep producers. I don't think the entries were that bad however. Anyone who was expected every entry to be a shit hot banger is probably a bit naive anyway. Can't quite believe people are pointing out the entries were a...

Re: MP3 Degradation, an experiment.

The last two don't have the same sample rate, so they would lose the higher frequencies. And some codecs low pass the lower settings automatically, as most people can't hear that high anyway. Did you check this before you posted? A good way to actually hear whats missing from your audio is to subtra...

kicks snares samples etc

Hey. I tend to have a massive library of drum samples, most of which i find to be pretty useless for dubstep and drum n bass production. If i make a track i'll layer 2 or 3 snares together and eq them. I'm thinking of just having a small library of processed drums so that i can reuse them and have t...

Re: Skream 4 body filter

The thing i like about it is the body section, it gives it a stranged sort of reverb sound. I just wondered if there were any equivalent vst programs that would do a similar thing? I'm not too bothered about the distortion side of things as i use ohmicide which is very versatile.

Skream 4 body filter

Hey, does anyone know of a vst that is similar to skream 4 on reason? I like the body filter, it gives it an unusual sound, so maybe just a filter vst would do as i already have various distortion plugins.
